Malibu Beach Inn, Malibu, California

Breathtaking beaches, waterfront restaurants, perfect waves, endless sunshine and celebrity mansions, Malibu is one of the most well known beach towns in California, let alone the world. But this high profile town also has a very laidback, local vibe. After my stay at the Malibu Beach Inn, I’m impressed that this hotel balances all of what it is to be Malibu, one boutique hotel that is literally built on the sand.

Steps from the Malibu Pier, just off the Pacific Coast Highway, the hotel is literally on Carbon Beach, or Billionaire’s Beach: one of the most desirable locations in all of Malibu. The rooms all have ocean views, with natural vibes, luxury linens and spacious balconies so guests can absorb all that sunshine and seabreeze during their stay.
I highly recommend the Carbon Beach Restaurant, whether you are staying at the hotel or passing by. During the day, you get to enjoy farm fresh food, sitting just above the glittering waves. By night, the menu changes to a more elegant, Pacific inspired fare. (order the truffle pasta and whole branzino!).

Other highlights include beach service, including some of their excellent craft cocktails that can be enjoyed right on the sand from the comfort of your lounge chair as well as complimentary morning beach yoga.
There’s a lot to enjoy in Malibu but trust me, you might want to just relax at this stunning property the whole time.
